Post Install

Get rid of:

  • any MTA
  • old kernels
  • shut down unnecessary services
  • Spring clean /etc/xdg/autostart
  • Use the PolicyKit Authorizations manager to disable suspend and hibernate for normal users.
  • rm /etc/hostname
  • Remove the 127.0.1.1 line from /etc/hosts
